Road Maintenance
The Town of Marshall maintains 43 miles of roadway. Town roads feature names like Berry Hill Road or Foley Lane. Most of our budget is spent on these roads.
Richland County roads are named with letters such as Z or D. Richland County maintains all county roads and State Highway 56.
If you find any hazard on any roadway, please call 911 and let them contact the appropriate maintenance personnel.
Load Limits
The Town posts load limits on its hard surface roads during the Spring thaw. These limits are generally in place during the month of March but may begin earlier or end later depending on the weather. During this time the roads are especially vulnerable to damage from heavy loads. If you need to take a heavy load over our roads while they are posted please contact our Road Patrolman. Users are responsible for any damages they cause and the Town is allowed to recover triple damages.
