Recreation

Town of Marshall enjoys many miles of excellent trout streams. This DNR map shows some of the main ones.

Hunting is widely enjoyed. Deer and turkey abound. All hunting is by permission of the landowner. Some farmers have “ag tags” which allow deer to be taken outside the regular season to help reduce crop damage. If you are interested in helping reduce our deer herd, please contact the Clerk at clerk@tn.marshall.wi.gov.

The Town contains a perfect mix of crop and woodland to support an abundance of birds and small animals. Commonly seen large birds include eagles, hawks, cranes, herons, vultures, turkeys, ducks and geese, along with a huge variety of small birds in all seasons.

All Town of Marshall roads are open to ATV’s and UTV’s.

Our Gillingham Ballpark has a nice lighted softball field with bleachers, picnic tables and shelter house.

There are several short term rental properties in the Town which may be booked through the usual travel sites.

There are many other outdoor activities nearby, including canoeing with handicapped access points and rentals, along with hiking, biking, and snowmobile trails.
