This is the proposed Town Hall layout. Dimensions are 28 x 38. Each square = 1 foot. The top would face the road. The new building would stand on the site of the old Hall.

A well and holding tank will be added to provide for a standard toilet in the Hall along with a sink, and shower for the patrolman. Water would also be added to the shop for cleaning equipment. These improvements have been made possible by the donations of a generous, but anonymous, local resident.

The structure would be built on a concrete slab with 2 x 6 sidewalls, non-vinyl siding and metal roof. It will need one more exit door than shown in the photo.

A public Town Meeting of the Residents was held on Friday, May 20, at 1 PM at the Town Hall to discuss and approve plans.

Financing will come from current revenues, private donations, and possibly borrowing. Approximate cost will be published as soon as it is available. No tax increase is anticipated. If you would like to contribute, please contact Don Hubbs, Clerk, at 608-604-4611.

Located on County Road Z about one mile south of State Highway 56 is The Gillingham Ballpark. This scenic treasure is owned and maintained by the Town of Marshall. It includes a shelter house with kitchen, picnic tables, and a lighted ballfield with bleachers. A beautiful trout stream, Fancy Creek, borders the property. To reserve the shelter or kitchen, call the Clerk. Overnight camping is allowed. There is a portable toilet but no running water or electrical hook-ups.
